Economic Times reports that|
As per government estimates, the number of hotel rooms required in the national capital region (NCR) for the Commonwealth Games 2010 is about 40,000. Currently the room supply by branded hotels in five star, mid -market and no frills categories in the region is just 7,000-8,000. Analysts believe that even if you add non-branded hotels in areas like Paharganj it takes up the total room count in NCR to no more than 15,000. And even if you add another 5,000-6,000 additional branded rooms that are expected to be built before the Games, that still leaves NCR with a shortfall of around 20,000 rooms!

We covered Four Seasons sometime back...KNOW| Hotel| Four Season Mumbai.
Just spoke to someone there.
The property is now officially in soft launch. The spa is not open, but the gym is. They just got the liquor license. The restaurants will be open soon.
Its a 202 room property with approx 350 staff. The block adjacent is an apartment block and that comes up later.
p.s. the red car below is the General Managers. Custom made, and it does go the airport for some guests!
Four Seasons Hotel Mumbai is the company’s first property on the Indian subcontinent and introduces a significant change in design, and concept to the city’s luxury hotel market.

A subsidiary of Hilton Hotels Corporation has signed an agreement with Beijing Capital Airport Tourism Co., Ltd. to manage the Hilton Beijing Capital Airport. Last week we carried this NEWS| Radisson Resort and Spa launched in Alibaug.
I spoke to somebody there and this is a soft opening.
They expect the resort to open fully in the middle of may.
I couldn't make it to see the property, but will see it in May when I am in Mumbai again.

Ramee Hotels Pvt Ltd is coming up with their first five star property Ramee Grand at Bannerghatta Road in Bengaluru, which is scheduled to be operational by November 2010.
