Indian Hotels second qtr Results.

Follow Prabhjot Bedi on Twitter Quarter ended September 2006, the topline grew by 28% to Rs 266.68 crore backed by 34% growth in average room rates, 200 basis points improvement in occupancies & a steady growth in F&B business. The operating margins improving by 270 basis points to 21.5% resulting in the operating profits expanding by 46% to Rs 57.31 crore. On the back of further reduction in interest costs the resultant PAT surged by 75% to Rs 46.22 crore.

For the first half, IHCL reported 28% growth in operating income to Rs 524 crore with the operating margins improving 380 basis points to 23.5% and the resultant PAT surging by 95% to Rs 84.72 crore.

The average room rates (ARRs) grew by 32% to Rs 7337 with occupancy of 66% (65% corresponding previous year). The revenue per average room (RevPars) was up by 34% to Rs 4836.
