End of an era: Djinns at Hyatt to make way for Chinese restaurant All good things have a way of coming to an end. Take Ghungroo, the nightclub at Maurya Sheraton, or Fireball at Gurgaon’s 32nd Milestone. If such cult haunts had to close, it isn’t too shocking that the eight-year-old Djinns, the popular nightclub at Hyatt Regency, is giving way to a tony Chinese restaurant next spring. So Friday night was time for nostalgia as the city’s partying set raised one last toast to the nightclub. “Every nightclub or a pub has a timeframe. The people who came here about five years ago have moved on. The city’s party culture has also turned around. So an authentic Chinese place makes more sense keeping in mind the regular clients,” says Hyatt General Manager Roger Lienhard. The grand do had most of its regulars in attendance. | Daily Extras!
