FORTUNE magazine has recognized Marriott International, Inc. (NYSE: MAR - News) as the most admired company in the industry of hotels, resorts and casinos, for the eighth consecutive year. Marriott was the most admired company in Maryland and second-ranked in the greater Washington, D.C. area, which includes the District of Columbia as well as suburban Maryland and Virginia.
